Beginning of the 2nd quarter

 

The beginning of a new quarter 

 Having two classes with the same teacher so it should be pretty cool.

 For this cnn 10 the main topic was about how other countries grouped up together to try and lower the mount of carbon in the air duel to factory's. goal of reaching at least 35% by 2030.  Another cool thing that had appeared on the "10" was the 10 heroes of the year.

Post 6 ( Vegetables)

Ok I'll just jump straight into it, the vegetables that I will be listing goes as follows. Artichoke , Asparagus, Bell pepper, Corn and Sweet potatoes.  Artichoke : The globe artichoke, also known by the names French artichoke and green artichoke in the U.S., is a variety of a species of thistle cultivated as a food. The edible portion of the plant consists of the flower buds before the flowers come into bloom. Asparagus : Asparagus, or garden asparagus, folk name sparrow grass, scientific name Asparagus officinalis, is a perennial flowering plant species in the genus Asparagus. Its young shoots are used as a spring vegetable. It was once classified in the lily family, like the related Allium species, onions and garlic. Bell pepper : The bell pepper are fruits of plants in the Grossum cultivar group of the species Capsicum annuum. Cultivars of the plant produce fruits in different colors, including red, yellow, orange, green, white, and purple. Bell peppers are sometimes grouped with less pungent chili varieties as "sweet peppers".  Corn : Maize, also known as corn, is a cereal grain first domesticated by indigenous peoples in southern Mexico about 10,000 years ago. The leafy stalk of the plant produces pollen inflorescences and separate ovuliferous inflorescences called ears that yield kernels or seeds, which are fruits. Finally sweet potatoes : The sweet potato or sweetpotato is a dicotyledonous plant that belongs to the bindweed or morning glory family, Convolvulaceae. Its large, starchy, sweet-tasting, tuberous roots are used as a root vegetable. The young shoots and leaves are sometimes eaten as greens.

 

Chickens (2) 5th post

  Here are the chickens that I have decided to write about, the wyandotte, Cornish, and the barnevelde. The Barnevelde : "A Dutch breed of domestic chicken. It resulted from cross-breeding between local Dutch chickens and various "Shanghai" birds imported from Asia to Europe in the later part of the nineteenth century; these may have been of Brahma, Cochin or Croad Langshan type." The Cornish : "A British breed of game chicken, now reared either for meat or show. It originated in the early nineteenth century in the counties of Cornwall and Devon in south-west England. It is a heavy, muscular bird with an unusually broad breast; the eggs are brown. " The wyandotte : "An American breed of chicken developed in the 1870s. It was named for the indigenous Wyandot people of North America. The Wyandotte is a dual-purpose breed, kept for its brown eggs and its yellow-skinned meat. It is a popular show bird, and has many color variants. "

Fourth Post

 

Farm work  ( Week 6 ) 

For this week we continued working on the planter boxes within the garden. We started to remove the middle planter and boy is that a lot of dirt. However everything is starting to look pretty good. Just lots of prep work and having to remove wood from within the ground. Other than that this week has been pretty chill like always.
